How to Add Background Music To Video In Premiere Pro Background music can really enhance any edit. The key is using music that doesn't overwhelm the vocals in the video. You have to pick the correct music, mix the sound or duck the music, fade it in and out, and change the duration of the music. The first step in adding background music in Premiere is choosing a song. Make sure you choose a royalty-free song that you have permission to use if you plan to show the video publicly online or for a client. Here are two websites I recommend for royalty-free music without copyright issues. Epidemic Sound (affiliate link) 🤍 Envato Elements (affiliate link) 🤍 You can get the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro here: (affiliate link) 🤍 Import the music once you purchase it into your Adobe Premiere project and drag and drop the song to a new audio track. You can use the audio mixer panel to lower the volume. In most cases, -28 to -30 will do the trick for background music. Cut the music to the length of your video.
