This video explains the working principle of an IR sensor and its applications. You can build your own IR Sensor with the help of circuit diagram shown in this video. An IR Sensor is an electronic device which senses certain characteristics of its surrounding by either emitting and/or detecting infrared radiations. A PIR Sensor is the one which works by detecting the heat or IR radiations emitted by objects. IR Sensor has an IR LED as a transmitter and a photodiode as a detector. It can be used for many applications depending on the requirements. To buy IR Sensors: 🤍 Feel free to ask questions and like. Subscribe for more videos. Thanks for watching.

But you might not know what it is. This is one of the most widely used sensors in hobby projects like a burglar alarm and line follower robots. What is an IR Sensor or Infrared Detector? IR sensor mainly consists of an IR transmitter (IR LED) and an IR receiver (Usually a photodiode). IR SensorIR Sensor or Infrared Detector IR LED always emits IR rays to the direction it is pointing to. Now let us bring it closer to a surface. When the IR rays hit a surface, some rays will be reflected back depending upon the color of the surface. Means, the brighter the color is, the more IR will be reflected back. Darker the color is, more IR will be absorbed by the surface and lesser IR rays will be reflected back. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- You will find this Amazing! "How Robots have joined the Coronavirus Battle? "Hey robots, in this video we talk about the working, types, and applications of an IR sensor. IR sensor is an electronic device, that emits light in order to sense some object of the surroundings. An IR sensor can measure the heat of an object as well as detects motion. Usually, in the infrared spectrum, all the objects radiate some form of thermal radiation. The LI3030SAI (RGB-IR) sensor is a 35mm full-size ultra-high sensitivity CMOS sensor with a large pixel size of 19 μm that allows for image capturing in low-light environments where it can difficult for the naked eye to identify the subject. The sensor can read 2160 × 1280 pixels, which is wider than Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels), enabling it to be a suitable solution for astronomical observation applications and the monitoring and industrial applications that require high-resolution images with a specific aspect ratio. During the current Coronavirus pandemic we're all being encouraged to reduce the number of shared surfaces that we touch in order to reduce the risk of virus transmission. So, this is the first video in a new series in which I'll be considering various methods that can be used to replace a traditional Arduino button input with a touch-free interface instead, requiring no physical contact. This is just one possible consideration of how you can make an escape room (or any other public-facing Arduino interface) more "Covid-secure". In this first part I'll be looking at an FC-51 "Infrared Obstacle Avoidance Sensor" component, which can be easily purchased online for only a dollar or so. It's a cheap, readily-available module that's easy to wire and code on an Arduino, ESP32, or other Microprocessor, using only a single digital input pin, and it's capable of simulating when a button is pressed, held, or released. You can buy this sensor from, e.g. 🤍 Timings - 00:00:00-00:01:03 Introduction 00:01:04-00:06:45 Demonstration 00:06:46-00:07:11 Hardware Wiring 00:07:12-00:16:08 Arduino Code Listing 00:16:09-00:16:58 Summary Code & Wiring Downloads - If you'd like to support me making more video tutorials explaining how to use tech in escape rooms and other playful settings, please check out my Patreon at 🤍 where you can also find code downloads, wiring diagrams, and additional resources for this and all my other tech projects.

A beginner's guide to the Most Complete Starter Kit by Elegoo. Lesson 14 – IR Receiver Module Hello everyone, I'm Rick the Tech Enthusiast here with the next Lesson number 14 “IR Receiver Module”. This is the next lesson on my Arduino UNO Series covering the Most Complete Starter Kit by Elegoo. I try to follow the included tutorial and will point out any changes or corrections as I find them. As mentioned before, I purchased this Elegoo starter kit and Elegoo isn't sponsoring me. I just thought it would be fun to do a video of each Lesson as I was learning the Arduino environment. For this video, we’ll need a few things from your Elegoo Arduino UNO kit. I’ll list the items below. In this lesson we’re going to introduce the Infrared receiver module and the infrared remote provided in the kit. I’ll step through the Elegoo provided tutorial and briefly explain how code and the IR receiver makes this happen. We’ll build and configure a simple circuit that is provided in the tutorial to demonstrate the functionality. With a small code change, we can discover other IR remote codes. As usual it was a fun project, I hope you enjoy it. Parts you’ll need for the tutorial: * Elegoo Arduino UNO R3 board * The IR Receiver Module * The IR Remote * Three female-to-male jumper wires The next lesson will be Lesson 15 – MAX7219 LED Dot Matrix Module. In this 4017 project, I have shown how to make motion sensor light switch using CD4017 & IR sensor for the washroom. I have made the complete motion sensor circuit on a homemade PCB and use this circuit as the automatic washroom light switch. When anyone enters the washroom the IR sensor senses the motion and turns on the light and when he or she exit from the washroom the IR proximity sensor again senses the motion and accordingly turns off the light automatically. Vizio IR Sensor Replacement CLICK HERE For Parts: 🤍 This video is designed to be a guide, please note that other complications may exist that aren't addressed in this guide. Try all repairs and troubleshooting at your own risk. Be sure to take all of the proper safety precautions. This IR sensor is used in multiple different models, but we are using a forty two inch TV for this video. The IR sensor receives the signal from the remote control and sends the request to the main board. If your remote control is not working with your TV, there are a few tests that you can run to determine if your remote control is working or not. Using the camera on your cell phone or a video camera, point the remote at the camera. Look through the viewer for the camera and then press a button repeatedly on the remote and see if you can see the light flashing on the front of the remote. If you can see the light, then you know your remote control is working and there is most likely a problem with your IR sensor. If you cannot see the light, then it is recommended to replace the batteries in your remote and test again. After replacing the batteries, test again through the camera. If you still cannot see the light, then there is a problem with the remote, but if you do see the light, then your remote is good and there is most likely a problem with the IR sensor and it should be replaced. The IR sensor for this TV is located in the lower right corner. We have put a red box around the area. Our TV in this video is a tester, so we do not have any screws in some places that your TV might have screws, but we will still go through the motions of removing the screws for the tutorial. Remove the screws on the keypad controller, and then gently lift it away from the IR sensor. Remove the screws on the IR sensor. Remove the IR sensor from the chassis. There are two small tabs on one side of the IR sensor that hold it in place. Pull from the bottom side to release it and then slide it out from the top tabs. Gently disconnect the two cables that are attached. Reconnect the two cables to the replacement IR sensor and put it back into place on the chassis. Install the screws. Align the keypad controller and insert the screws. After replacing the IR sensor, put the cover back on the TV and test it with your remote to be sure it is working correctly.
