As promised, here is a dedicated video tour of the menu system of the new Fujifilm X-H2S. Please remember this is a pre-production unit, so the firmware is not final. There may be some changes to the final production copy. However, this gives us a good idea of what's inside this fifth-generation X Series camera. For me, the small highlights are the dedicated webcam mode, HEIF file type option, custom mode settings, and last-item memory. By the time you see this video the camera has already been returned. With the X-H2S, Fujifilm has a new flagship camera. It has a new 26.2-megapixel stacked sensor that delivers shooting speeds up to 40 fps in electronic shutter mode. At the same time, it has the most advanced video features of any APS-C camera, with up to 6.2K video, 4K 120p and 1080 240p. It also offers in-body stabilization, a high-resolution EVF, CFexpress support and more. The main drawback, and it’s a small one, is that the autofocus still isn’t quite as fast as we’ve seen on Sony and Canon’s latest APS-C cameras. FUJIFILM Dynamic range DR400 in RAW??!! This feature might change your photography! A common debate I stumble upon in Fujifilm photography forums; 'does the DR100-400 option affect the camera RAW file?' With lots who are adamant it doesn't, I thought id put this little video together to demonstrate otherwise. *READ THIS IMPORTANT* things I forgot to mention: + I had the camera for about 2 days, only for this specific project. + Except for a few clips, this footage is unstabilized (in post) as full clips from the camera. I was completely handheld, winds were nearly 30+ mph and it was 40ºF(cold!) while recording, so I was definitely shaking from the wind and cold while recording and in these were only test clips before my real project so I was pretty sloppy while shooting. This is truly an extreme stress-test performance. I say in the video that I see no artifacts, especially wobbles, but I meant to say I see no *concerning* artifacts and the reason I say that is because after testing stabilization in Davinci Resolve everything imperfect you see was able to be corrected even in these extreme conditions! + Adding the Tascam audio attachment (🤍 plus the Ninja V puts this camera near cinema camera capabilities! Plus, pairing the XH2S with Blackmagic Cinema Cameras is now an amazing option if you do any hybrid shooting and want BRAW. + Wooden Camera has already made a cage!! 🤍 New LUTs in my shop now!! 🤍 Did you find this helpful?
